Some public transportation lines in Bucharest will be deviated from their usual route during the Summit in april and during the General Simulation
- The bus , trolley bus and maxi taxi lines in Bucharest that cross the security areas established for the NATO Summit will deviate from their usual routes
In order to inform
the citizens of Bucharest about the security
measures and the changes to the public transportation lines between
01-04 April 2008 and on 29 March 2008, the National Security Committee
for NATO Summit states: As a result of the general traffic restrictions on Bucureşti-Ploieşti Rd., Mărăşeşti Ave. (between Expoziţiei Ave. and Poligrafiei Ave.), Kiseleff Rd. (the section between the Arch of Triumph and Victoriei Square), Victoriei Square (on the direction Kiseleff Rd.- Calea Victoriei Rd.), Calea Victoriei Rd., Naţiunile Unite Ave., Libertăţii Ave., 13 Septembrie Rd., Izvor St., B. P. Haşdeu St., the public transportation lines will deviate from their usual routes, as follows:
Lines 79 and 86 will move on the usual route between ,Basarabia Ave.’’, and ,,National Stadium’’ respectively and ,,Iancului School’’, then will deviate in both directions on Pache Protopopescu Ave., Carol I Ave., Regina Elisabeta Ave., (common route with line 85).
Lines 122, 137 and 268 will deviate from their usual routes in the direction towards Universităţii Square, from Ştirbei Vodă St. – Luterană St. crossroads along Luterană St., Romană Square, Universităţii Square, turning along Regina Elisabeta Ave., then along the current routes. In the other direction, the route is not changed.
Lines 126, 168, 226 and 368 will deviate from their usual routes from Ştirbei Vodă St.- Luterană St. along Luterană St., Romană Square, then along the current routes.
Line 136 will move along its usual route between ,,C.E.T. Vest Militari’’ and Pandurilor Rd.-Dr. Rainer St. crossroads, along Dr. Rainer St., turning at Izvor Bridge through Splaiul Independenţei (the left bank), then along the outgoing route.
Line 300 will move along its usual route between ”Clăbucet” and Ion Mihalache Ave.- Buzeşti St. (Victoriei Square) then along a changed route along Buzeşti St., Calea Grivitei St., Lahovari Square, then along the outgoing route.
Line 301 will move towards Romană Square, from the junction of Bucureşti-Ploieşti Rd./Aerogării Ave./Ion Ionescu de la Brad Ave., along Bucureşti-Ploieşti Rd., Kiseleff Rd., G-ral C-tin. Prezan Ave., Calea Dorobanţilor Rd., then along the current route.
Line 335 will move towards Băneasa Airport, the route being shortened at ,,Bucureşti-Ploieşti Rd.’’(end of line 5).
Line 381 will move on the usual route only between ,,Reşiţa Square’’ and ,,Romană Square’’.
Line 385 will move on the usual route between ,,Valea Oltului’’ and 13 Septembrie St.- Pandurilor Rd. junction, then on changed routes in both directions along Pandurilor Rd., Splaiul Independenţei, Izvor Bridge, then along the current route.
Line 783
will move towards
,,Piaţa Unirii’’ from ,,The Arch of Triumph
Square’’ through C-tin. Prezan Ave., Aviatorilor Ave.,
Lascăr Catargiu Ave., ,,Victoriei Square’’, then the
usual route.
In addition, the route of line 783
from
DN1 towards Otopeni Airport will be deviated along the driveway through
which buses currently have access to DN1 towards Bucharest.
During the
period when the traffic is
closed at Calea Victoriei Rd - Regina Elisabeta Ave junction, the
public transportation lines in the area will deviate from the usual
lines, as follows:
Line 61 will move on the usual route only between ,,Master S.A.” and ,,North Railway Station”.
Line 69 will move on the usual route only between ,,Valea Argeşului’’ and ,,Operei Square’’.
Line 70 will move on the current route only between ,,Basarabia Ave’’ and ,,Pache Protopopescu Square’’ (Izvorul Rece).
Lines 79 and 86 will move on the usual route between ,,Basarabia Ave.’’, and ,,National Stadium’’ respectively and ,,Iancului School’’ then will deviate in both directions on Pache Protopopescu Ave., up to ,,Pache Protopopescu Square’’ (Izvorul Rece).
Line 85 will move on the usual route only between ,,Baicului” and ,,Pache Protopopescu Square” (Izvorul Rece).
Line 90 will move on the usual route only between ,,National Stadium’’ and ,,Pache Protopopescu Square” (Izvorul Rece).
Line 91 will move on the usual route only between ,,Valea Ialomiţei’’ and ,,Operei Square’’.
Line 92 will move on the usual route only between ,,Barajul Dunării’’ and ,,Pache Protopopescu Square”.
Lines 122, 137 and 268 will deviate from their usual routes from Ştirbei Vodă St/Luterană St junction through Luterană St, Dacia Ave., Romană Square.
Lines
336 and 601
will deviate from the usual routes from Operei Bridge along Splaiul
Independenţei, Unirii Square, Universităţii Square, Rosetti Square.
In order to avoid inconveniences, the authorities in charge of the NATO Summit security recommend that the citizens of Bucharest should look for information about all the restrictions imposed by the security measures that will be established during the summit, and rely on their understanding.
