THE MEETING OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY COMMITTE FOR NATO SUMMIT

During the meeting on 13 March 2008, the National Security Committee for NATO Summit – Bucharest 2008 assessed the security situation and established a series of measures, among which:

1. It established the main and reserve motorcade travel routes between the airport, the hotels and the venues where the activities of the NATO Summit will take place.

2. The traffic police agents and squads will support the ambulances designated to respond to emergency calls received from citizens during the NATO Summit in order to expedite their movement through heavy-traffic areas.

3. It recommended that public events and demonstrations scheduled for the beginning of April in Bucharest and Otopeni should take place after the 4th of this month. 

4. It established the airports that can be used for aircraft landing and take-off under special circumstances (emergency landings of civil aircraft, etc.)
