The Media Group on NATO Summit Security is the single communication channel of all the national security institutions involved in ensuring good conditions of development for the NATO Summit in Bucharest.

STRUCTURE
The team is made up of designated specialists from the press
offices
within the following institutions: the Ministry of Defence, the
Ministry of the Interior and Administrative Reform, the Office of the
National Register of State Secret Information, the Service of
Protection and Guard, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Special
Telecommunications Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service.
The MG-NSS purpose is to release to the general public and the mass media, in real time, public information in the following domains:
- summit security (e.g. – the terrorist threat alert level, hazard degree, special protection measures for the summit participants);
- public order;
- road traffic;
- special measures for regulating road traffic and safety in Bucharest.
The activity of the Media Group is meant to complete that of the Media Centre at the Parliament Palace as the items of news released by the Group exclusively pertain to the above- mentioned activities.
The timely and authorized release of data of interest for the media and the general public is a priority for the members of MG-NSS, which has been established and is functioning as a niche news agency.
MG - NSS ROLEMG - NSS is the single communication transmitter in the field of Summit security. The Group represents the „single voice” of all the institutions in the field of defence, public order and national safety, which are involved in ensuring good conditions of development for the NATO Summit in Bucharest.
The main task of the Group is to release security news in a unitary fashion and in real time towards the public and the media through:
- a single communication channel for security news;
- web page for security news;
- materials of general interest, analyses, releases, press briefings, statements and specifications;
- security news flow, during the Summit, at pre-established time intervals.
Activity
The MG-NSS team produces:- security news,
- general documentation about Romania’s national security system,
- press statements, press releases, briefings,
- management of the information posted on GM-SSN page.
