Invitation - Joint exercises at the airport with a view to training for the NATO Summit in April

On Wednesday, 14 March 2008, 10.00 hrs, the accredited journalists are invited to attend a joint training program carried out by officers from the institutions responsible for providing security for the NATO Summit in Bucharest. 

Officers from the Protection and Guard Service (S.P.P.), the Romanian Intelligence Service (S.R.I.), the Ministry of Defence (M.Ap.), the Ministry of the Interior and Administrative Reform (M.I.R.A) and representatives of the customs service and of  „Henri Coandă”  International Airport involved in the security measures for the Bucharest Summit in April will present an exercise at this airport, with a view to increasing the cooperation and reaction capacity at inter-institutional level.

The journalists who wish to attend these activities will be met on Friday, 14 March 2008, at 09.00 hrs at Victoriei Square metro station (the exit from the Statue of Aviators) and taken by minibus to the venue of the exercise.

Journalists will be allowed access inside the airport only if escorted by SPP representatives. Given the strict airport access rules, the journalists who wish to participate in this activity are kindly asked to send their identification data no later than 13.03.2008, 13.00 hrs (the list should contain the following: surname and first name, ID card  series and number, publication and telephone number).
