- In the next 4 days, only official delegations will travel on the single corridor and have access to the areas where Summit activities are taking place
Starting
tomorrow, 1 April, 07.00 hrs, vehicle and pedestrian traffic
restrictions will be imposed with a view to providing optimal travel
conditions for the motorcades that will be arriving to Bucharest. The
first delegations that will come to Romania are expected to land on
Henri Coandă International Airport starting at 09.00 hrs. More than 10
delegations will arrive to Bucharest tomorrow.
The main restriction to be imposed tomorrow is the establishment of the single corridor exclusively reserved for the movements of the NATO Summit motorcades.
Authorities recommend that vehicle transiting Bucharest avoid crossing the city, choose routes that are adjacent to the single corridor and mostly use public transportation means.
Between 1 – 4 April, public transportation lines and subway trains will be supplemented to facilitate the movements by citizens of Bucharest.
Restrictions will be maintained until 4 April, 24.00 hrs.
Traffic on DN1 is normal, slightly crowded towards Bucharest.
Traffic in Bucharest is normal, no traffic jams have been noticed.
