More public transportation means in Bucharest during the NATO Summit
Monday, 31.03.2008, 01:54 PM

The citizens of Bucharest will have at their disposition an increased number of buses, trolley buses and metro trains for the period in which traffic restrictions will be enforced (according to RATB and METROREX).

The National Security Committee for NATO Summit has asked the public transportation authorities in Bucharest to consider supplementing the transport means in order to facilitate the movements of citizens in the capital city.

RATB and METROREX has decided to supplement the transportation lines and the metro trains in order to facilitate the movements of Bucharest citizens on the days for which protection and security measures are enforced.

On those days, RATB and METROREX will have observers in the field to inform the dispatchers about the RATB lines and metro sections to be supplemented in order to avoid crowded traffic.
