The general simulation is to start at 13.00 hrs. Traffic police will close the restricted perimeters at 12.30 hrs, so that all secured areas should be clear for the Summit activities.
The National Security Committee for NATO Summit (CNSS) announces that traffic in Bucharest will not be closed, only certain restrictions for clearly marked areas will be enforced. Traffic police agents will permanently be present at the most important crossroads in order to expedite traffic.
From 13.00 hrs to 24.00 hrs, traffic on the single corridor will be reserved exclusively for the motorcades that will participate in the NATO Summit in Bucharest. Public traffic is restricted to a single lane in both directions on DN1, outside the central lanes, that are delimited by special separating elements.
Bucharest Traffic Police Brigade reports that at present road traffic in Bucharest and DN1 is within the usual weekend parameters.
