•    The parking spaces for the vehicles in the NATO Summit official motorcades are being established; some of the vehicles have already been parked in the specially designated space in Constituţiei Square

The Protection and Guard Service has started to mark the boundaries of and to secure the parking spaces where the motorcade vehicles and the vehicles designated to transport the participants in the Summit will be parked. 

Some of the vehicles to be used by the dignitaries have already been taken over by their drivers and parked in the specially designated area in Constituţiei Square. The vehicles will be checked and will undergo a security search before they enter the Summmit security disposition. They will be searched again just before they set out on each drive.

The drivers will undergo medical tests before they assume their daily duties. They have been trained for their mission, carrying out exercises such as rapid formation of motorcades, motorcade travel in different formations, evacuation of dignitaries in critical situations, etc.

In order to provide optimal transportation conditions for the delegates throughout the NATO Summit, 4 vehicle pools have been established. Currently, 300 vehicles are parked in Constituţiei Square.

The parking lots are permanently guarded by forces of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
