Medical assistance provided during the NATO Summit
Tursday, 03.04.2008, 04:22 PM

So far, seven persons have required medical assistance during the NATO Summit activities. Of them, four were journalists (in one case, hospitalization was necessary), and three were official delegates at the Summit in Bucharest.

In these cases, all first aid measures were coordinated by the Medical Center functioning within the National Security Committee for NATO Summit.

The doctors who are on stand-by for emergency situations during the Summit also intervened in order to resolve three more cases that were transported on the single corridor.

Two medical helicopters were granted clearance to overfly the airspace for the emergency transportation of two patients to Floreasca Emergency Hospital, landing on Dinamo Stadium.
